by babies having a hole in the heart between teh right and left ventricle, what problems would this cause for the baby!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Depends on how large the hole is, and where it is!. You can have a atrial hole, or a ventricle hole!. The main thing is that the oxygenated and deoxygenated blood mix before going out to the body!.!.so the body, brains, everything gets only partially oxygenated blood!. This is were the site of the hole and size makes a big difference!. If it is a big hole, it has to be corrected soon, b/c oxygen is needed for life, and proper development!. If it is a small hole- you can wait and get that fixed!. The baby may turn blue with crying b/c they use up all their oxygen stores with the energy of crying!. They may not feed very well b/c they can get enough oxygen while feeding!.!.!.so they have to take more breaks, and tucker out quicker!. A large amount of babies are born with a foramen ovale- which is NORMAL!. This is a normal fetal heart!. The hole normally closes at birth with the first breath or so!. If it doesn't it can close over the first few days of life!. A doctor may hear a murmur (swoshing of blood between the chambers of the heart), and just monitor it for a few months to see if it closes!.

The main thing is that your doctor keeps checking on it!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

not getting enough oxygen in the blood!. So the baby is breathing much harder!. Blood with oxygen and carbon dioxide may mixWww@Answer-Health@Com

A very short life!.!.!.!.!.the hole in the heart must be fixed or the baby might not live long enough to celebrate its first birthday!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
