Is renal failure a disability?!

Question:

Is renal failure a disability?

Answers:

I have renal failure and have had a kidney transplant, and yes I say it is a disability, firstly one of your main organs have failed and you need to have dialysis, and your cannot live your life as before due to the symptoms and treatment required. After a transplant I still say it is a disability as you have to take anti rejection tablets etc and risk the kidney failing and your life is not the same as a person with one or two native kidneys. Don't forget your major organs - kidneys failed. From experience I do not feel that it is acknowledged and it is not understood how it effects people. Keep going
