Swollen feet and very painful foot cramps?!

Question:

Swollen feet and very painful foot cramps?

Both feet are swollen, the right one more than the left. This is in a middle aged woman whose family has a history of heart disease. The way that the foot is swollen is similar to what you see in much older heart patients. Could the heat be a factor? Is low potassium associated with the cramps in the foot. Are the swelling and the cramps related. Thanks in advance for your answer.

Answers:

I know what it is, let's see if I can help.
(I have the same but on my right leg), bad bloodstream gives this.
Put cold wet towels, put your legs higher when your in bed, when you come from a walk always put your feed and legs under the cold tap, it will reduce.
Avoid to put them too much in the sun, the sun(heat) gives the swelling.
Avoid as much as possible salt (gives also the swelling) also painkillers contain a lot of salt (that gives it to me).
Eat cooked asparagus it's a natural water remover and it helps!
Best see a specialist always with a swollen leg ,can be thrombosis.
