Would a TSH catch most thyroid problems?!
Question: Would a TSH catch most thyroid problems!?
or should I ask my doctor for a T3/T4 count!? My throat is hurts right where my thyroid is, when I push on it, it's slightly painful!. I can't sleep for more than 2-3 hours at a time!. My body doesn't get tired at all (which is good during the day), but I can stay up for 48 hours now, and still not be tired!. My eyes get major bags under them, my skins/muscles feel very weak, feel dehydrated, yet my body feels like it could climb a freakin' mountain!. Than my heart beat gets very faint, and skips beats, yet I still feel like I'm weightless and my body doesn't get tired!.

Answers:
TSH only catches a small % of people with thyroid problems!.
Your symptoms are confusing!. It sorta sounds like hyperthyroidism or a bout of thyroiditis which is a temporary condition where there is inflammation of the thyroid causing some discomfort and pain!. I don't know why your are not tired at all though!. It's puzzling!.
It's always better to get a T3/T4 than a TSH alone, if your doc will do it!. Most will not!.!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
