Breast cancer question?

My sister just received the results from her double mastectomy and removal of her lymph nodes. Prior to this she had 8 chemo treatments. They said that 6 of the 7 lymph nodes had cancer, but they are still giving her a good outlook. since her cancer is estrogen based the tamoxifan (probably spelled wrong) that she will take will help, she still has radiation too. does this sound right, i thought it was really bad to have it in your lymph nodes, should she get another opinion mabye more chemo? anyone have a familiar story?

I'm sorry for you and your sister I have cancer as well and it's scary. They removed the lump it was above the breast so they could save it but sure had to take alot of muscle out. As far as the Docs are concerned they are right shel will need radiation as well, even wit the Tamoxifen. They also may condsider ovary abulation so if she wants children or more children she should freeze her eggs if at all possible. Since its estrogen positive cancer shutting the estrogen the body makes often prevents the cancer from getting worse. I wish you both all the luck and the Drs. seem right on cours with what they are doing which is great. They have found some lumps in my liver and I go for scan for that on the 9th.and I reallly hope its just begign cysts which is stupid but with out hope what are we right.Pearl ..
