Pain in middle toes?!
Question:
Pain in middle toes?
In both of my middle toes, I have chronic pain. The pain is not in any of my other toes. It is located on the joint of both of them. My toes do have a slight bend, but not enough for hammertoe to really make sense. What do I have?
Answers:
Please try not to laugh. Gout is considered to be a disorder of ancient times and attributed to eating rich foods (King Henry the VIII and others of nobility were plagued with it). It still exists today and it's not necessarily associated with eating rich foods or drinking too much wine. I know a strict vegetarian who ended up with gout (flebitis, or inflamation of the joints). It started with the same symptoms you've described. But that's not to say that's what you have. It's a possibility. Check it out, make sure. I went through a similar thing when I was pregnant with my second child. I didn't get it checked out. It just eventually went away.
