HIV TRANSMISSION RISK?!? Serious Legit Answers Please?!
Question: HIV TRANSMISSION RISK!?!!? Serious Legit Answers Please!?
Hello, I have a huge fear of STDs and just about any kind of Infectious Disease!. So please no poking fun at the OCD kid!. Anyway, I live in a dorm and today I touched (accidentally) what looked like dry blood on the shower curtain!. It was is a weird spot actually sort of at the top (although this is irrelevant) I immediately washed my hands with soap and then took a shower!.
My questions are as follows;
1!. Is there any chance of HIV infection in this scenerio!? (keep in mind I don't believe to of had any cuts or wounds on my hands) maybe a hang nail if that is relevant!.
2!. Even if the blood were wet, is that scenerio enough to be infectious!?
3!. What about hepatitis is these same situations!?
4!. And if one of the girls on my floor had touched it possibly while it was fresh, should I be worried for them!?
Thanks in advance for all your answers :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
NO! You'll be ok your just VERY careful and thats good!. The fact that you immediately washed your hands afterward would kill virtually any residual pathogenic virus!. And the fact that you said you had no open or DEEP lesions would be HIGHLY doubtful of infection!. Also remember that the water you wash your hands with and shower in contains chlorine!. Chlorine is added to the water supply for many reasons besides keeping water clean!. And killing bacteria AND viruses is one of those reasons!.
Always keep such places (like the shower) as sanitary as possible!. I would only be a little worried (like the girls on your floor) if anybody had any kind of open or deep skin lesions coming into contact with contaminated blood!. And as for you!.!.!.chill out! You'll be fineWww@Answer-Health@Com

Relax!. If the blood was dried, there is NO way you could get HIV from it!. The only way you will get HIV is by unprotected sex or sharing needles for drug use!. Once blood is outside the body the HIV starts to die, and if it was dried and then became wet, the HIV would still not survive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
