Answers:
Could still be cancer, or it could be something else like an infection or virus!.

Nodes enlarged from lymphoma sometimes "wax and wane" -- that means they may enlarge and then decrease in size, but they will grow overall in time!. The enlarged nodes on my left side did that -- it made my stomach mass seem sometimes like it was bigger than it was at other times!. I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease which is a kind of lymphoma!.

Here is a link if you want to research more on lymphomas of the head and neck: http://www!.emedicine!.com/ent/topic742!.ht!.!.!.

It's quite possible, however, that this could still turn out to be an infection or virus!. Fingers crossed that whatever it is turns out to be something easily curable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When I had this problem, I had swollen lymph nodes, fever, itching,
rash all over my skin, all of my joints hurting, and lost 10 lbs!. I got
so many blood tests done but it turned out I had the general Hepatitis!.
Worst summer of my life, I was sick for more than a month!. And my
skin was orangish yellowish and the white part of my eyes were yellow!.

I looked scary!. But I cant tell you what your son has, its pretty much
impossible to predict just from a description!. The biopsy should give
you all your answers once as you said the doctor is taking her own
******* time to do it!. If you really want, just change doctors!. To
someone who really cares and thats why they are a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
