What causes bright red,puffy ,sore lips??
my 17 yr old son gets this from time to time!! he also had this after flying when he was 13..thanks

I am sorry to hear this but go to your doctor and get him checked out.
It could be an allergic reaction to something and it is only a mild reaction thats why it affects his lips.
DO NOT WORRY but see if there is a trigger as to when it happens, get it checked ASAP but there may be an occasion where the trigger could cause something worse and if it goes to the throat he could end up in a more serious condition e.g. anaphylactic shock where he may have difficulty breathing.
Please get this checked ASAP for reassurance and it will most probably be something he is allergic to and you will then know how to stop it happening in future.
