You are suppose to break the needle off and then dispose of it!. I usually place them in a 1L soda bottle and after full I throw it in the trash!. The needle can be broken by bending it a few times sideways!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
In Tasmania we can get sharp's containers from the council for free & you just take it back to em when it is full & they give you another!. I used to (b4 I found out about the sharps containers) snap of the needle then put it in the barrel of the syringe then put em all in a large soft drink bottle (empty one of course lol) then once it was full I would tape it up tight & put it in the rubbish!. The worry of needles is the sharp side of it more than anything & the safety of rubbish workers if people do put them in the bin!. Hope this has been helpful :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
You can dispose of them in a "Sharpies" container you can get at any local pharmacy!. Or you can purchase a needle clipper (it snaps the ends off a syringe so you cant use it)!. Either one works great!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
