What substances causes hyperactivity?

I suffer sometimes from sudden hyperactivity episodes and i want to know what food or drink causes that, sugar? salt?.

Could be a number of different things, but the most obvious are the legal stimulants such as caffeine and sugar or it could be more of a behavioral issue such as long periods of inactivity causing excessive hyperactivity.
