High risk HPV puts you at a higher risk for cervical cancer!. It's not a guarantee that you will get cancer!. This risk is usually one you worry about once you get older!.!.!.but if cervical cancer runs in your family then you may be in more trouble!. Most women actually end up clearing the virus from their system (naturally!.!.!.no drugs) and have nothing to worry about!. But a small percentage of women either can't clear the virus or are constantly reinfected!. So you and your partner could just be giving it to each other constantly b/c its actually contracted through SKIN contact!. I would think it's possible to contract through toys, just like herpes!. So usually what happens when you get an abnormal pap is!.!.!.they will ask you to come in like every three months for papsmears to monitor if things become normal again!. Sometimes they will refer you to get a colposcopy where a doctor will take a closer look at your cervix to see if there are any cancerous lesions!. This kind of doctor can remove the lesions right in the office!.!.!.like using chemicals!.

Going back to the cheating thing!. HPV can lie dormant in your body!.!.!.and there is no test for HPV in men!. HPV is spread from skin contact so even grinding can put you at risk!. Take what you want from those!. HPV, like HSV is pretty frustrating because most times its impossible to tell how you got them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi Dee, sorry to hear about that! Like you I got HPV from my very first partner!

A high grade abnormality on your pap smear test cause by HPV does not mean cancer!. It means the cells on your cervix have changed - left untreated for years they could possibly turn to cancer, but it is so slow growing that doctors will keep a close eye on it and advise you on the best treatment for your abnormality!. Sometimes the abnormal cells can even go back to normal on their own!. It's important to have regular pap smears!.

HPV is usually transmitted by skin to skin contact - as for the sex toys I guess there is a possibility STD's could be transmitted in that way but I'm not 100% sure!.

What to do next - you should make an appointment with your doctor and ask them to explain the level of abnormality and what you should do next, eg!. course of treatment!.

Don't panic, I'm sure all will be fine - I have had 2 high grade abnormal pap smears, and I'm all fine now!. Also, 1 in 3 people have been exposed to HPV, so it's very common!.

Good luck! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

do u have three some!? the virus can survive outside of human body that long, so i don't think u get it from the sex toy unless u have sex with your bf and your friend if she got HPV!. if she's clean then it could be your bf had cheated on u!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
