Can you get diseases (hiv) by just kissing someone?!

Question:

Can you get diseases (hiv) by just kissing someone?

or licking female/male genitals

Answers:

By kissing...in theory, no. I don't believe there have been any recorded cases that were contracted by kissing.

As for oral sex, yes. HIV is found in high concentrations in semen and vaginal fluids.

Educate yourself. That is the best way to prevent infection is to know how you can contract it and to NOT put yourself in a situation where such behavior puts you at risk.

You are going to find some people on here who will swear up and down that HIV and AIDS do not exist. I don't know what these people are trying to prove but please, for your own sexual health and your life, do NOT listen to them. One of the best ways you can find out all you need to know is to go to an AIDS clinic and talk to a counselor. They can give you pamphlets and brochures and even test you for the virus if you think you might have been exposed. HIV clinics are in many cities. Look in your phone book. You can also talk to a physician who specializes in infectious diseases.

Please note that I said "in theory"...that is not a definite "no".
