Question: How long after sexual contact do I have to wait before getting tested for STDs!?
I had oral sex with someone new last night!. Although there were no indications that she had any infections, I am a paranoid person and would like to get tested to make sure I didn't pick anything bad up!.
My question is, how long do I have to wait after the sexual encounter before STDs will be detectable in tests at the doctor's office!?
Am I just being paranoid that I feel the need to get tested for every STD after every single sexual encounter with a new person!? I have never had any symptoms of anything!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

most people with STDs don't have symptoms!. if you are a paranoid person then why would you have oral sex without getting both you and the other person tested first!.
anyways, wait about a week for the test for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia!. any viral diseases not testable unless there is a lesion!. HIV is very unlikely to get transmitted through oral sex, but if you are paranoid, wait 3 months to get tested for this!.
You shouldn't get tested after every single sexual encounter with a new person, you should both be tested BEFORE the encounter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Some stds will test positive in a day or two!. Somethings like HIV may take later to show up on tests!. Call your doctor and ask him to make sure!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
