Question: I REALLY wanna concieve, but I might have lupus!?
i have been trying for 2 years now!.!.!. My doctors just told me that i have a high chance of having lupus!.!.!. Will this affect me getting pregnant and carrying a baby safely!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should really have them test you for lupus!. I was diagnosed at 16 with Lupus!. It flared up because I became pregnant!. You have to be monitored closely, and if it infact is Lupus, they will put you on special medicine, a blood thinner basically!. It has to be taken seriously, and lupus causes high risk pregnancies!. so be super careful and take extra care of yourself!. sometimes, it takes some longer to concieve than others!. i have been pregnant 3times, and not to worry you, but i lost the first two, and my third was very premature, but he is a beautiful healthy little guy!. also with lupus, you need to watch your diet,
i suggest really going to the doctor to verify!. and don't fret, if it's meant for you to have a child, you will and even if you can't concieve, there are plenty of children out there in need of love!.God blessWww@Answer-Health@Com

To answer your question, yes Lupus can make it harder to conceive and will also make it more difficult to carry a baby to term!. All Lupus pregnancies are considered 'high risk' and have to be monitored closely!. The first thing that needs to be checked is if you have Antiphospholipid Syndrome!. APS is a secondary disease that often 'piggybacks' with Lupus!. APS is a blood disease that causes clots to form, increasing the risk of heart attack and stroke!. Women with APS should be very wary of conception as there is a much more significant chance of death!.
Heparin will need to be administered on a daily basis IM (via a shot to the stomach)!. This will decrease the risk of clots but not reduce it totally!.
Many things need to be considered when thinking about getting pregnant with Lupus!. The stress of childbirth can exacerbate flares!.
With Lupus and APS a better option may be adoption or surrogacy!. My wife and I decided on adoption which was the right choice for us!.

lupus as some genetic factors which means there is a slight chance you baby will develope it!.!. howvevere you main concern should be lupus fares during your pregancy!.!. overall if your monitered correctly i believe you can concieve like any normal person Www@Answer-Health@Com
