Stage III lymphoma implies disease above AND below the diaphragm!. Lymphoma comes in many varieties, some of which are frequently curable, some of which almost never are!. It is almost always very treatable in any case!. One looks for remission first after therapy (no cancer present); for very aggressive lymphomas, relapse after 3 years of remission is rare, while for the indolent lymphomas, relapse is expected but may take years to materialize!. We would need more information to be more specific about the case!.

if treated quick enough and she responds well to treatment she can go into remission!. you are never really cured from cancer due to the possibility of relapse so the doctors will class a good response to treatment as remission!. the theory is that if a person is in remission for over 5 years then they are near enough cured but even then there is still a chance for relapse though!.
