It could be a variety of things!. The first time i tried anal sex, he and I were well lubricated, and he was pretty small so it didn't hurt!. It is possible that you may have not had enough lubrication!. The anus is mainly termed as "exit only!." You may have had some tearing!.!.!. ouch! If it keeps hurting, seek medical advice!.
