Question: When will i get my colposcopy results!?
My pap came up with CIN 2 so what could be the possible outcome/result!?

CIN 2 is the result - if they took a biopsy they will just confirm that it is CIN 2!. Sometimes they leave CIN to fix itself, other times they remove the cells with a cold coagulator or a hot wire loop - LLETZ procedure (this can be done in the doctors rooms or as a day procedure in a hospital)!. CIN 2 isn't deadly and it's not cancer - left untreated years down the track it may turn into cancer!. Don't panic, it's very treatable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You usually have the biopsy results within a week of the colposcopy!. Once you and the doctor know the results, you can start to work on a treatment plan!. They might do another colpo and freeze certain areas of the cervix, or they could do a leep (a loop of wire is used to slice out dysplastic tissue and cauterize the area), or they might recommend hysterectomy!. Just be very glad that you have been wise enough to keep up with your appointments so that you can be treated appropriately and quickly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
