My gastro Dr!. told me that coffee is OK unless I was talking about more than 4 cups a day!. Different studies have shown different results!. Anything that taxes your liver should be used with caution and moderation!.
Acetaminophen is a very liver unfriendly OTC pain killer, yet it is recommended for those with HCV!. I guess that coffee in moderation wouldn't be more dangerous than Tylenol!. You may want to use milk thistle to help protect your liver, or up the amount you take, if you are now using it!.
As long as you are dealing with fibrosis and not cirrhosis of your liver there are no specific diets for you to follow!. You may want to follow a balanced diet, but as long as you don't overtax your liver you should be OK!. Check some of the HCV websites, most of them have lists of liver unfriendly foods, herbs, and medicines!. Best of luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
