Hello,i am a cheerleader! im a flyer ( the one that goes inthe air) and well i sweat under my arms alot!. and in cheerleading the people catch u under ur arms i dnt want to be embrassed so i usally just take my shrit and whip the sweat off before i go up but it coems back anyway and fast!. and in cheerleading we were tank tops !!! too !. i wear dedordrant but it doesnt help i always have to switch my brand name of deodrant, and im sick of doing it!. Im thriteen and i need help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Deodorant is only made to cover up the smell of perspiration!. Anti-Perspirant, however, is designed to slow the sweating process!.
There have been some studies about the effects of anti-perspirant, and any negative side effects it may have, and it has been generally accepted by the medical community that perspiration is a way for the body to cool itself off, and is a necessary function!.
You're a cheerleader, you're doing a lot of hard exercise and work - you use deodorant - so I'm sure you don't smell bad - when you get a bit older, botox can be used to stop underarm perspiration for short periods of time (2-3 weeks I believe), but at your age it would be very harmful for you to try!.
Stop worrying so much, and enjoy your cheerleading days - I'm sure no one else much cares if you're sweating or not!

I had a friend who had this problem in high school!. What she did was put duct tape on her uniform on the inside where the armpits are!. This way it repelled the sweat from seeping into her uniform and showing pit stains!. i hope this helped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
