Chest infection?!

Question: Chest infection!?
Last Friday I was sick with the flu and since then most of the flu symptoms have disappeared, but now I'm coughing alot at night(badly affecting sleep), my chest feels tight and am having a bit of trouble breathing!. Also I have a sharp pain in the left side of my chest and a slight fever!.
How do you know when it's time to go to the doctor to see if it's a chest infection!? The stuff I'm coughing up is only a bit greenish!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
