How fast is the progression of cancer after it has become metastatic?!

Question: How fast is the progression of cancer after it has become metastatic!?
Our dog has mammary cancer!. She had one tumor which was removed a year ago (small tumor) and has recently developed 3 very small tumors in 3 of her remaining nipples!. They're doing a double masectomy today to remove all mammary tissue!. However, does an increase in the tumors mean that the cancer has become metastatic!? Also, if it has spread to her lympatic system, but there are no visible tumors anywhere else on x-ray, how long until she becomes extremely sick from the cancer!? I know cancers are variable, but I'm just looking for some clues!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
well, i'm not a vet, but here's what i know,
every cancer it's different, that's true, but once it's produced metastatic tumors the prognosis it's not good!.-
once the cancer it's big enough to get detected it usually is very agressive and has managed to avoy the innmune system!.-
so, sorry i'm not sure it's very good!.-Www@Answer-Health@Com
