Question: Synthroid Vs!. Levoxyl!?
Im so confused! So I went in for my first follow up with my doc after being on synthroid 150 mg for 6 weeks!. I feel very anxious and felt I was over medicated so !.!.!.he said he would lower the dose, which he did but he was going through the med drawer and pulled out Levoxyl 125 mg!.!.!.Im scared to try a new brand!. Do you think i will feel better!? Why did he switch my meds!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Levoxyl is sometimes considered as a generic T4 medication!. He probably just switched your brand because he had free samples of the Levoxyl!. Usually once on a thyroid med the brand shouldn't be switced unless you are not feeling well!. However, you have just recently started thyroid meds so it shouldn't make much difference!. If you start feeling bad on the Levoxyl, you can always go back to the Synthroid!.
Remember when you test, to do so first thing in the morning!. Testing in the morning is best because its when TSH is highest!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They're pretty much exactly the same!. Plus why not use levothyroxine!? It's cheaper and it's the same!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
