Question: Spots on my leg!! Help!!!!?
I have loads of spots all over my legs that I have had for ages now!. I am really worried because I can't get rid of them at all! None of my mates have them and it makes me feel really embarassed and self concious when I have to show my legs! Does anyone know what this is and how to get rid of them!? The spots are almost like permenant goose bumps all the way up my legs! I'm 14!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is called keratosis pilaris!. It tends to run in families, so chances are other members of your family have it also in varying degrees!. My son and I both have it, but it was not until my son had it that I found out what it was!. He was so little and we did not know what this "rash" was on his arms and legs!. We went to see a dermatologist, he said that as my son gets older there are treatments to help clear the skin!. Eucerin also sells a good cream for this, it is called "Intensive repair cream" Ask your parents to take you to a dermatologist!. Also check out this website for more information on Keratosis!. Without being able to see your legs, without being able to physically scrape them and look at it under a microscope, there's no way of knowing!.
Go see a doctor and have a test or two ran!. Easy things could be heat rash or some type of allergic reaction to something!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I do too!. not that many but a few!. i'll learn to feel comfortable with my legs though!. im 17 years old!. i had em for a few years also but its okay!. You dont have to feel concious or anything!. show your legs, dont be embarasssedWww@Answer-Health@Com
Are they a certain color!? Different than your skin color!? Definately go see a doctor if it's bothering you so much!. It won't hurt to just have it checked out!. Could be nothing, but you never know until you have it looked at!. The best of luck to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
