Allergic to bandaids?!

Question: Allergic to bandaids!?
ok well it seems like everytime i put on a bandaid no matter the spot it becomes red, warm and VERY itchy!. After the bandaid comes of it is red and swollen for a day or 2 and the sticky residue from the bandaid stays on my skin for 3-4 days, even after multiple showers!. Am I allergic!? If so, what can I use if I ever need a bandaid!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
omg! I have the same thing! Your problem is most likely caused by an allergy to latex!. The sticky part of the bandaid is made with latex!. I buy latex free bandaids and, it doesn't completely clear the rash, but it makes it a lot better!. If this doesn't work, you may just have sensitive skin and I would probably find an adhesive bandaid!. (I have a few from cvs) Hope this helps!.!.!.

It sounds to me like you are allergic either to gluten (in the sticky stuff) or latex (in the band-aid itself)!. Try looking for latex-free bandages: They are out there!. And if you still react because of the sticky stuff, you may have to use gauze and ace bandages!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
