Wheezing... Have GERD and elevated liver enzymes. please help!?!

Question: Wheezing!.!.!. Have GERD and elevated liver enzymes!. please help!!?
I am going to have a pulmonary function test done tomorrow to check and see if i have asthma!. Three years ago i was diagnosed with acid reflux disease (GERD)!. I have had this mild wheez on and off for about three years!. Recently i feel it is getting worse!. I am taking omperezole for my acid reflux to heal any erosions, and i take an allergy pill, and also a nasal spray!. I still wheez!. Tonight i took two puffs off of my inhaler the doctor gave me and the wheezing went away for about 6 hours or more!. I am just concerned because i also have hot flashes (or atleast it feels like one), and my liver enzymes are mildly elevated !. I often wonder if i might have pnemonia!? It kinda scares me!. Sometimes i have a dull pain on the right side of my chest!. !?!?!? Any comments!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Sure !.!. I have comments !.!.!. wait and see what your pulmonary function test reveals !.!.!.

Regarding GERD, complications occur when stomach contents wash back up the esophagus and spill into the trachea and down into the lungs, or when stomach contents traveling into the esophagus cause a bronchial reflex that may lead to wheezing, cough, worsening of asthma or infections like pneumonia!.
There is an association between adult-onset asthma and GERD, especially in those with wheezing that gets worse at night, when lying down or after meals, and in those with no previous history of allergies!. The typical symptoms of heartburn and acid regurgitation may not even appear in patients with GERD-related asthma!. It is estimated that adults with asthma are twice as likely to have GERD as those without asthma!.

Im not sure on what basis that you think you have pneumonia !.!.!. because from what you tell me !.!.!. it is not suggestive of that diagnosis !.!. although you may be leaving out crucial information for me to conclude that diagnosis is worthy of an evaluation !.!.!.

Let the doctor do his biz !.!.!. and by all means ask questions !!

Before you make your visit !.!.!. sit down and write down questions you have for him/her !.!.!. then you will not forget them !.!.!.

I wish you the best !.!.!. and hope for the best !.!.!. get well!Www@Answer-Health@Com
