Question: Will herpes affect college!?
My sister has genital herpes and she is starting college and the health office requires her to get a physical exam, if the college sees she has herpes will they let her attend school!? yes or no!.

She can attend any school of her choice!. She will be fine!. They will not be digging up her herpes tests or info!. The dr who gave her the test and has her results is who will keep them!. Since she going to college she should take along her herpes medication incase she has an outbreak!., Tell her to drink plenty water, take L-Lysine as a vitamin ( this helps with keeping herpes outbreaks down) ,work out often, eat yogurt and have protected sex if she plans to have sex at anytime!. Having herpes does make you more easy to catch HIV/AIDs and no one wants that so she should make sure and use a condom!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Of course! This will have no impact at all on her attending the college or university of her choice!. They will be examining her and if she has an active outbreak, they may ask if she is on medication for it!. So please tell your sister to have medication on hand for outbreaks, start packing, and have a great year!. I hope she gets off to a wonderful start!Www@Answer-Health@Com
if they don't let her in because she has herpes, then that is discrimation against her!. i'm sure there are other studen'ts attending the college that have herpes (80% of the population has the oral kind so its kind of common)!. then she would have the right to take legal action!. that hasn't happend to me since i went through college before i got herpes!. herpes shouldn't interfere with her life all that much!.
the outbreaks are painful, uncomfortable and inconvenient to deal with!. besides that u won't die from herpes!. they don't mess with your health all that much if she keeps her self healthy!. if they test for stds including herpes they may find out but that shouldn't stop her from getting into college!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

she will have no problem going to college!. Attending college and having an STD have no relation what so ever!. A very large protion of college aged students have an std!. She should research herpes and talk to her doctor about how she can control it!. Usually, a doctor will prescribe Valtrex to control outbreaks!. But as far as learning in school, NO PROBLEM!. yes they will let her in college even if she has herpes!. Herpes is only spread by sex and 1 in 5 people have it!.!.!.not me but I did a report on it in high school!. They probably won't even ask her if she has it, if the school does a vaginal exam on her that is sexual assaultWww@Answer-Health@Com
