We then suction any remaining blood or fluids from the internal organs (which, for the record, are NOT removed during embalming, as many might think)!. We then inject a very strong preservative chemical into the chest and abdomen through that same small hole!. We bathe the person, close their eyes and use a device called a needle injector to insert wires into the upper and lower gums to keep the mouth closed!. The lips and eyes are glued shut!.
