Help Please???????!

Question: Help Please!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Is it possible for a 12 year old to get breast cancer!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
At your age your chances of having breast cancer are very close to zero!. 80% of people diagnosed with it are over 50; women in their 20s and 30s are young for breast cancer and account for only a small percentage of those diagnosed!.

It is EXTREMELY rare in someone under 20!.

I don't know what's worrying you specifically!. You are growing and developing, and any changes you notice are almost certainly hormonal!.

If you think you have found a lump - even in adult women (including the over-50s) most breast lumps are not cancerous!. Anything you have that appears to be a lump is almost certainly your breasts developing!.

Talk to your mother about any worries you have; if you feel you can't do that, talk to your school nurse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't worry to much!. During puberty breast tissue grows and breasts can feel lumpy especially on the part around the nipples!. It is very rare for a young child to get breast cancer unless it has spread from the lymphs!. Breast cancer is usually caused by the hormones in grown women and an odd time in men!. Breast cancer is formed in the tissue, and in the milk ducts!. You really at twelve wouldn't have much tissue, wouldn't have a hormonal problem and wouldn't get cancer of the milk ducts!. Don't worry just mention to your mom and she can check you or take you to the doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I took my 14 year old to see her dr because she was afraid she had breast cancer, especially since I was diagnosed with it last year!. The dr!. told her it's highly unlikely that someone her age would have breast cancer!. I would say though, if you are concerned about something, you should really talk to your mom!. A visit to the dr wouldn't be a bad idea either so he/she could put your mind at ease, and also give you more information on breast cancer and what is "normal" to feel in your breasts and what is not!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No!. This is because cancer isn't something that you get out of the clear blue, that you wake up with one morning!. It takes time for malignant tumors to develop and therefore that means if you have it, it was either dormant before or that it has been developing over time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes, but just ask your mom/dad to take you to the doctor and have a annual physical and talk to the doctor about it everything is confidential please just don't assume you have cancer!. GOOD LUCKWww@Answer-Health@Com
