I have some questions about Tachicardia..?!

Question: I have some questions about Tachicardia!.!.!?
I'm 15 years old and have had tachycardia for a year or so, they said it was benign when it was up to 95 now it gose up to 120 or more!. I also have been getting shooting pains in my heart like someone stabs me for a second then it gose away!. Ive gotten these pains so bad that I have actually fallen over from the pain before!. I havn't gotten it checked yet since last time!.

Im guessing I'll have to have ANOTHER EKG and ANOTHER haulter monitor!. Im worried about it though and have been also getting pains inside my left arm like its itchy inside and all the bloood feels cut off and my arm tingles!.

If anyone HAS tachycardia or knows about it please inform me if its normal! My school nurse says its nothing she has heard of, however I think information from someone who actually has it would be better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am a registered nurse and also work ECG technician for months I hook holter monitor also!.!.!. I also experienced to hook a monitor to a 4mos old baby boy!.!.!. At your age it's normal to have a fast heart beat!.!.!. Because you are still young and especially if you have active life style!.!.!.Tachycardia refers to rapid beating of the heart!. By convention it is defined as a heart rate greater than 100 beats per minute in adults!.!.!. Tachycardia may be normal, such as in exercise and stress, or abnormal, such as in cardiac arrhythmias!.!.!. However, depending on the mechanism of the tachycardia and the health status of the person, tachycardia may be harmful and require medical treatment!. In extreme cases, tachycardia can be life threatening!.!.!. Tachycardia can be harmful in three ways!.!.!. First, if the heart is pumping too fast for an extended period of time it will change the balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the hemoglobin in the blood; this is normal during exercise but when resting this is quite dangerous!.!.!. Second, when the heart beats too rapidly, it may pump blood less efficiently as there is less time for the myocardium to relax between contractions!.!.!. Third, the faster the heart beats, the more oxygen and nutrients the heart requires!.!.!. This may leave patients feeling out of breath or cause angina in those suffering from ischemic heart disease!.!.!. It's better for you to see a cardiologist now, to give you early treatment if ever!.!.!. Good Luck!.!.!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
