Yes, i had the same problem for almost 3 years!. It is protecting your throat from the acid in your stomache - because it is use to the throw-up routine!. If the mucus wasn't forming in your throat, the acid would eat away your throat little by little!. The only way to get rid of it, is to stop :( I know its hard!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Being suicidal is never good!. You need serious psychological help if you are that depressed!. Being bulimic is just as bad as slashing your wrists, or any other form of self-mutilation!. I hope you have a lot of fun killing yourself!. I on the other hand will enjoy life and make lots of friends while you sit at home and destroy your own god-given body!.

Your question could be comparable to someone asking if slashing their wrists will cause any permanent effects!. Any form of attempted suicide will cause side-effects!.

And yes, bulimia is a form of attempted suicide, as you are denying nutrition to your brain, as well as your body, which will eventually kill you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yeah probablly because your body is trying to protect you from the acid you are spewing out, it's very harmful to your esophagus so the mucus is probably just protecting you from that!.!. and actually the stomach has mucous in it so that could be what you have!.!. idkWww@Answer-Health@Com
