Question: I've been seeing flashing lights when i go to bed!.!.could a 10!.8 reading cause this!?
for a week now when i go to bed i see these flashing lights!.!.!.it's really scary because i have my eyes closed!.!.!.then when i open them i can still see them!.!.!.only when i turn a light on do they go away!.!.!.would a 10!.8 hbac1 reading cause this!?Anyone out there with type 2 diabetes ever experience this!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

get your eyes checked out by your eye doctor and get an overall check-up by your MD!
Yes, readings above 7!.0 may cause cell damage and possibly may be behind your symptoms!. Think of it this way: the higher your blood sugar, the stickier (simplified!) your blood!. This affects your blood vessels and anything supplied by them!. The smallest blood vessels (capillaries) supply your eyes and may indicate the onset of retina problems!.Retina detachement does not hurt and for this reason is often missed until it is too late!. So, please get this checked out!.

diabetes can cause lots a problems if your blood sugar is high or low im not sure if 10!.8 fasting blood sugar is above the normal range the eyes can be affect that why its very important to keep it under controlWww@Answer-Health@Com
