My husband is an ironworker and I want to know what he can do from getting his face sunburned its not summer yet but his face is sunburned already!. What kind of sunscreen do you recommend and what else can I do so he wont get really sunburned!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are two types of products that protect the skin from the sun's damaging ultraviolet radiation: chemical and physical products!. Sunscreen is classified as chemical, while sunblock is physical!. Sunblock is usually the more powerful of the two and what I would recommend!. You need to pick something that will prevent both UVA and UVB rays!.
Sunscreens actually absorb the ultraviolet radiation, thus reducing the amount of radiation that penetrates the skin!. There are two types of ultraviolet light, UVA, often called the "aging ray" which weakens the immune system of the skin cell (making skin look older), and UVB, called the "burn ray" which causes changes to DNA that can cause abnormal growths (cancer) in skin cells!. While older sunscreens were only effective on UVB, newer formulations are effective on both UVA and UVB!. Even people with sensitive skin can find highly effective sunscreen designed to be non-irritating!. For example, Vanicream Sunscreen SPF 60 is excellent for those with sensitive skin!.

Neutrogena's Ultra-Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock, which is available in an SPF up to 70; it's a waterproof, sweat proof, non-greasy sunblock made for an active daily life!.

He needs to wear the full face mask when welding instead of just goggles!.!.!.!.the full face mask will protect him from getting such bad sunburn!. His arms are probably sunburned too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
The best kind of sunscreen has Invisible Zinc in it, and doesn't feel particularly heavy on either, like in the old days!. He should probably apply it every single day, and then again when he has break periods!. Sunscreen really only stays active for two or three hours at a time, so it helps to reapply as often as you can find time to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
