How to tell if I have eczema or not?!

Question: I have this horrible dry, patchy, rough, itchy Area on my foot about the size of a frickin mango. When it gets really itchy, I noticed there are little white blister looking things in there. I also have it on both of the palms of my hand. Ive been to a dermatologist and she said it was eczema. They gave me creams and ointments but that stuff didnt work. Any suggestion for OTC or home remedies or what the heck it could be?

My boyfriend has it and it's terrible. It flares up when he's under stress, touches grass, food or certain metals that he's allergic to and from being too sweaty.
He's used Gold Bond Ultimate Softening body lotion with Shea Butter. It works wonders when you keep the area moist. His doctor also gave him a heavy duty cream, Betamethasone Dipropionate, it's works a lot better than the other ointments they were giving him.
As for any other OTC or home remedy treatments try using gentle soaps for the shower and gentle laundry detergents like Ecos (found at costco).
if you type "Eczema home remedies" into google you can find a bunch of sites with suggestions but they will call for weird ingredients that you can't exactly find at the grocery store.

I had eczema when I was about 6-10. I went to dermentologists and doctors and had a bunch of test s done and it was horrible for a little kid. I had mine of the back of my legs and arms and my legs. Mine looked like a big gash and it stuck to my pants if i sat for a long time. Mine was cause from dust mites cause I was really allergic to them. They were in by bed and pillow and you cant see them. My mom bought this cover that you put over you mattress and pillow case soi the dust mites cant bite me. I would suggest getting an allergy test for dust mites. Also, I had creams and pills for itching. I also took this oatmeal bath and had a body soap from a company called aveno. So after all of that, it finally went away.

I had eczema for years, the docs gave me lots of different creams that never worked and some times made it worst!!! I found soaps and perfumed stuff made it worst too!!
In the end and on a very sore summers day i used a cheep vaserlene, to cover the area completely with so much it looks silly and let it soak in if you can use some kind of clean simple white cotton sock to cover it.
Only use white cotton next to it or it could get infected. The sock will help to keep moisture in the skin.
Do it at lest twice a day ( morning and night) and every day till it's completely gone.
It worked for me and i have never had it since in 19 years, i was born with eczema.

Get the blisters checked out again with a doc cos that sounds like an infection and you might need antibiotics for them.
Do not use use really hot water in the bath cos that can irritate the skin or any soap or perfumed products.
