The insides of my ears itch a lot.?!

Question: I have been to the doctor several times. He flushes the ear and it feels better for a few days after which the wax build up begins again. I have to constantly scratch my ears which is emabarassing in social settings.
It has soft runny liquid inside which has a foul odor.

Are there any otc medicines to treat this?

If you find you cannot help but stick something in your ear to scratch and relieve the itch then I am going to propose something that for sure will get me a lot of thumbs down.
Being extremely careful not to even touch your ear drum, dry the ear canal out with a Q-tip. Then add just enough 1% Hydrocortisone cream, to wet the tip without excess, of a second Q-tip and wipe your ear canal with it. Do this in the morning when your ears are sweaty from laying on a pillow.

Remember, I am only advocating this based on your probably sticking something in your ear regardless of well meaning advise to the contrary.

ask your doc.

u may have a rash but go too a doctor

There are "ear wash" systems that you can buy in any drug store. They have some solution, a squirter and the bigger ones have a tray you put below your ear to catch the "goop". Doesn't cost much, less then a doctors visit for sure.

Or you could hook up the garden hose, spray it in one ear and clean out the other. Works for me!
