Can't Eat Rice While Having Fever?!

Question: The Doctor advice me not to eat rice when i was having a fever..

My family practice that too. I guess it's because rice will further trapped the heat that cause fever inside your body? Even porridge is not encouraged, since they are the soupy version of rice right.
But then again, since it's a doctor advice, ain't you should have asked your doc in the first place =)
