Ugh, Skin question...?!

Question: I have great skin... except for this one spot on my chin. I was (am still? not sure...) getting this recurrent zit that refused to come to the surface. I could NOT resist trying to pop it every time it happened. Now I have a scar there, and maybe I'm being paranoid, but I really feel like it is ruining the look of my whole face! How can I fix it? Would a dermatologist be able to remove/fix the scar or do I have to try using scar cream?

dont go rushing into a dermatologist if you dont need one. try putting neosporin on the scar and over a few days it should deminish. i would recommend a daily face wash. i use this stuff called Acne Free, you can get it at target or walmart for about 15-20$. its a 3 step system similar to proactiv. it works!

first off the worst thing to do is to touch your face. Your hands are very very dirty. Also, if you really feel passionate about the zit, go to a dermatologist and I'm almost positive they'll be able to remove it, but I would try some scar removal cream first. The most important thing to do is to try to not touch the zit. Zits go away (If you maintain a healthy diet, hygiene etc), but scars won't...good luck mate.

mederma should clear it right up, its a lotion for scars and you can find it at any retail

sometimes those zits that just won't come to the surface are actually cysts, and that's why they come back and don't want to pop. I know some people don't want to rush off to see a doctor, but if you really don't want it to come back, have a dermatologist check it out. in the mean time, DON'T PICK AT YOUR SKIN.

It depends on if the scar is a depression in your skin or just a darker discoloration. A discoloration will eventually fade whereas a depression in the skin will never go away completely. You can have laser work done on your skin to help even it out or have injectables, such as Restylane, to fill the area.
