Is my lip swollen from chapstick?!

Question: For the past few days my lips have been chapped wierd.. the upper lip had some skin peel off for some reason. Anyways, I was out of my usual chapstick so I put on Burts Beeswax Pomegranate chapstick. I woke up this morning and my upper lip is swollen with these weird raised bumps. They aren't round like zits, they are raised blotchy spots on the actual pink part of the lip. Is this a reaction to the new chapstick?

I am not sure, but I think the product Chapstick contains mostly wax. That's why it is not helping your chapped lips. The other thing is you may have a herpes viral infection. (cold sores) If you've never had them before now, the initial breakout is severe. If you noticed stinging, or a burning sensation or some pain, you may have a cold sore. Try some of the over the counter cold sore remedies, or if it is extremely bad, see a doctor for a prescription.

your lips are not being swollen form the chapstick its u

it sounds like herpes simplex 21. you should set sail for a deserted island right away. just kidding, it sounds like the thing started before you put the burts on it. i use the pomegranate stuff and never had a reaction. have you been under alot of stress recently?
