Has anybody survived Kidney Cancer??!

Question: My father was diagnosed with a tumour in his ureta in September last year, he kept it a secret right up until he had to go to have his kidney removed (as he had to be hospital for a week so he was forced to tell us) the op went well and he has been back for tests which he said have gone fine and no worries however he has been quite edgy and since he kept it from us in the first place it makes me worried that he would keep any other bad news from us so as not to upset anyone. He's quite a proud man. and when I ask him about the test he clams up and doesn't say much, like he wants the conversation over with immecdiatley, I would be able to deal with it if I knew the whole story, even if it is bad news.

Also my Uncle whilst drunk let it slip to a relative of mine that my dad had been on the internet and thinks he only has 8 years to live, my dad just laughed when I asked him and said he's fine can anybody please elaborate on future after Kidney Cancer Thank you

Early stage renal cell carcinoma can be cured just by the surgery.

Whether or not this is the case with your father, we can't tell.
If he doesn't want to discuss his condition, you will have to accept that at some level.

I am guessing though, that you are asking pretty open ended questions like "What did the doctor say?," and "How was your visit?" You may get more information in this situation by asking very specific questions like:
What kind of cancer is it?
What stage is it?
Does the doctor think it is cureable?
Does he recommend chemotherapy?

But if he doesn't want to discuss it you are going to have to trust his judgement to do what is best for him.

Best of luck you him and you both!

He must feel very introversial and depressed due to the cancer. It is a debilitating and extremely depressing condition. Surgery is often not good because it weakens the body. Conventional cures for cancer can cause more problems than solutions for example chemotherapy. There is a diet based cure for cancer known as the macrobiotic diet which is based on the symbols yin and yang. The diet limits sugar, fat and salt intake to a minimum and the book I have on it explains how cancers are caused by the overconsumption of overly yin or yang foods. Many testimonials are in the book from people who have had cancer in every part of their body who miraculously recovered by taking the macrobiotic diet. The diet itself consists of 60% whole grains, and organic brown rice with 30% vegetables 5% beans and 5% pulses. Rice and whole grains are neither yin or yang, they are balanced and eatin food which are balanced can help restore balance within the body and cause the cancer to diminish.

8 years that a long time!! My Mum was diagnosed with RCC last may. Once discovered it had already spread to her liver and lung. She pasted away 4 months after diagnosis aged 60. Your dad is lucky in that they have caught it early. it has obviously not spread to other organs so his cure rate is very high. x
