I am just learning about this myself as my child is being worked up for Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia. It is a defect in the persons ciliary. It could mean the ciliary is immotile or there is a defect in the way it moves. It causes frequent ear infections, sinus infections, bronchitis, pneumonia, bronchiectasis and in some cases situs invertus. It also causes infertility in most males and I think it's uncertain for females. Google it...there's not as much research as there is with many other diseases, but it can help you get a start. I don't know if I helped much, but I'm just beginning to learn myself. Good luck!
