Taking Anti anxiety meds and smoking while fasting?!
Question: I want to start a juice fast, but Im on anti anxiety meds that I cant go off... and also I dont want to stop smoking...
Will these things effect fasting... IM not fasting to detoxify.

Fasting is NOT done to lose weight, as a matter of fact it is the WORST way to lose weight. By abruptly stopping your food intake your body will interpret that as starvation and in order to save itself it will restrict calories burned. If you want to lose weight eat a sensible, healthy, non meat diet and expect to do so over a long period of time. You didn't put the weight on in a short period of time, so don't expect to lose it safely in a short period of time. Why are you smoking? That is so bad for your health. The smoking is probably causing your anxiety to be worse and I"ll bet you get panic attacks as well. If you can, for your long term health, find a way to be strong and kick the bad nicotine habit. I wish you well . . .
