I am 18 and i think im getting chicken pox?!
Question: I've never had chicken pox before... im 18/f and there's this kid who's my brothers friend and was having headaches and everything and later we found out that he got chicken pox...
Although he's never been around when he actually got pox, i feel that im going to get them... the symptoms are very tiny bumps on the neck and very few red coloured bumps on my hands....
Also, where i live, its very hot... is it just the summer or it could be CP???
Its my exam time and i cant afford to bed rest for this... :(
What do i do to prevent them???

People are contagious before the symptoms show up. You need to read about the physical symptoms because yours don't fit the profile.

if it is chicken pox confirmed it is better isolated and treated symptomatically -----you have asked the prevention in last line --also I ST REES A POINT that the prevention comes first than last in case of chickenpox --as there is no specific treatment the outer skin and nasal secretions are spreading factors,also air current can bring it to Niebuhr hoods and who ever has low Resistance for the disease get the infection ---to prevent it you may have to take vaccine for the same
