guy there is nothing called stomach flu, there is gastritis and it is usually due to cig, alcohol, spices, and sometimes bacteria.

most common cause of stomach flu in children is Rotavirus. this is usually transmitted by dirty hands from one child to the next.
influenza is an airborne virus. most famous recently is the H5N1 virus or Avian Flu.
