A lot of times at night my feet will tingle and burn. Like you said it drives you crazy. This is what I started doing. Put on a pair of socks and sit your feet on ice packs for about a half an hour. Put the ice pack in a towel. It should just feel cool, not cold. This really works for me, and I am able to sleep.
Avoid dairy before bed and I use an ice bag when it gets really bad
nocturnal pain in the foot can be a complication of long standing diabetes. a color doppler and nerve conduction studies and mazetol 100 mg thrice dailly would help.
