Is it possible to develop seasonal allergies later in life?!

Question: Or other allergies that can be related to being indoors or outdoors? What about food allergies?

I developed an allergy to a medicine later in life- but I am not sure if it can happen with other types of things.

Thank you.

yep. sure can. an allergy or sensitivity can develop at any time after a person is subjected to the particular irritant. it doesn't matter if they've been around something one time before, or 20,000... the body just decides it's time to react and boom... stuffy nose, puffy eyes, coughing, sneezing, rash, and hopefully, nothing worse, like anaphalaxis.

(my husband's family has the worst allergies to medication, as well as 'seasonal' allergies that the doctors and 'specialists' in this area have ever seen. they jokingly say that they are text book cases of how not to proceed with typical allergies.)

Yes, if you live long enough you will eventually be allergic to something

Yeah you can develop allergies later in life. Your body changes constantly so the things you may be allergic to or not allergic to can change also.
For example I developed allergies to my cat when I was little but not those allergies are gone.

Definitely. As you are exposed to things in the enviroment, medicines and foods your body may become allergic. I had no allergies as a child. Now I am allergic to dust, mold, and bees. It is all about histamine levels.

Yes, one of my health teachers told me that every 7 years, seasonal allergies can develop because of growth. (so if you're around 14, 21, etc), your body is changing continuously and you're likely to develop seasonal allergies. It probably can happen with other things depending on exposure to them.
