Cinnaman to reduce high sugar levels?!

Question: I am type 2 diabetic, I am on 2 types of insulin I follow diaticians ' diet of set number of carbs per day and I might as well be taking nothing at all. Then I came across a page from Google that someone ( in similar situation) tried 1/2 tsp of cinnaman on a piece of buttered toast ( cinnanman has to be absorbed into a fat) 2 times a day and with regular excersise was able to loose weight . I have started this regeim 15 March. If anyone has heard of this , look forward to hear from you.

I take cinnamon daily. Don't get the idea that cinnamon is going to do that much, though. Controlling type two is much more involved. Eliminating carbs is not the answer either. You have to learn glycemic index. You have to learn nutrient to Calorie ratios. Since adopting Dr. Fuhrman's diet, walking daily, and losing 50 pounds, I no longer need any medication at all. Here's my blog on that:

Cinnamon helps T2 diabetics improve glucose metabolism ... as a replacement for sugar or butter on the toast, it will also help with dieting ...

I've listed a couple of links for further study ...

Good luck!

i have heard that cinnamon does help to lower BS levels...i also heard that mullberry is an awesome herb to lower your BS, but i can't find it anywhere...any ideas on where i can find mullberry extract?....bluedot

My husband swears by it.

It does not help. Staying away from the buttered toast would help more
