How sick? Flu? Cold?!

Question: I have the chills, no appetite, congestion, dry cough, I feel tired and weak, and my body aches. My friend and I are 16 and we are spending the night alone at her house. She can't find a thermometer. She says i look flush, and feel kind of clammy. She says I feel hot also, but she is not really the best judge of that. How serious is this? Is my friend going to get sick for sure? I feel so sick! Answers QUICK!!

Thanks so much!

That would definitely be the flu. I had it about a week and a half ago and man, it's not fun. If you feel like you can hold it down, drink some tea and just lie down in bed and get a lot of rest. I had about all those symptoms.

If you're really good about resting and such, you should be able to get over the major symptoms within a few days. Get well soon!

Sorry to say that it really sounds like the flu. You have all the classic symptoms. I just got over the very same thing... lasted 3 weeks for me.

Flu. I had the same symptoms for about a week but only missed school for 3 days. My temp was 104, I was tired alot, and to make it worse it was after a basketball game so I probably got my team sick. Lately at my school they have been missing so many people they have to report it to the state. One of my teachers is in the hospital. I think you have the flu though.

this stuff is nasty! eat garlic, vitamins, sunshine, lots of water, try to get rest, the best over the counters are Nyquil at nite and mucenx during the day,try to bleach your counter tops, door knobs, anything that any one can touch and spread-you get feeling better and then it unleashes its fury-good luck!

Drink hot tea with honey and tea and rest. You have the flu
