For all you kids having sex, wake up!

HEY! Stop attacking...

She's trying to promote AWARENESS!!!
If more kids were aware - the world would be a better place...
They won't listen to adults! So let her talk!

Did you even read the article?
It states that the majority of the STD listed is HPV, which honestly isn't a big surprise seeing no matter what you do sexually - good chances are you will get it.
Also, this is a study done in 2003-04 with only 838 girls - chlamydia is listed at 4% and then you have Trich, which even committed couples can get. Even if those teens used a condom, they can still contract HPV since it's a skin-to-skin disease.

*Its's not downplaying it but people are going ape-S%#t over a study with a small number of teens about four years ago. Perhaps I would feel more need to panic of the testing and study was done in the past year. However, the medical community is quite well aware of the spread of HPV and unfortunately even using protection doesn't stop you from contracting it.
So we ask our kids to use condoms and then they do and OOPS they get HPV, how do you explain that to them then? Condoms are failsafe and the study itself through NBC /CNN seemed a bit vague. So instead of harping on the Sin of our Times, perhaps your energy is better put to making sure there is better sexual education in schools instead of the absentince program which doesn't seem to be working. Fear-mongering doesn't work either.

*Rate me bad if you would like; it doesn't do anything, so keep it up. However, what awareness is she raising along with the tons of people posting the same information? Pretty sad if people won't go and read CNN or CDC themselves without the prompting of others on four year old information.

How is this a question?
