Chest pains due to...?!

Question: At a funeral yesterday and the night before at the funeral home, I experienced chest pains for the first time ever. It was a great loss for me and very shocking. The pains felt like my chest was constricting and I had needles being poked all over my chest, shoulders, and upper arms. Then, my shoulder hurt. What do you think and have you experienced this before?

Very sorry for your loss. Times like these could be very trying and the degree and amount of sadness could weigh very heavily on a person.
People don't have heart attacks from funerals or burrials like this, unless they already have heart disease.

Your symptoms do compare to heart attack, but simple testing should clear all up.
Go to an emergency room let them figure it out.

stress..may be a mild like panic attack

Well, I'm not sure. You could talk to your doctor about it, which would be a very good idea

But were you really worked up? Usually when I get really upset and crying really hard, my chest and throat gets all hot and it feels like I'm being constricted; you know, your heart starts pumping really fast? It's just my nerves. When I get really upset, I think I'm going to have a heart attack! Lol!
Of course, this is just me. Maybe you have the same thing, but I'm no doctor.
So sorry about your loss

It sounds like symptoms of a heart attack to me. I would contact my doctor immediately. Best wishes.

I think it could be a panic attack. My mother gets them all the time.

It could have been stress...but with any chest pain, you need to go to the doctor and have him check you out.
