Did you see the movie "Naked Gun" where they were wrapped
in plastic for safe sex? That is about your only bet. No. Seriously,
don't eat or drink after anyone, do wash your hands a lot, HAND
WASHING IS THE FIRST AND MAIN LINE OF DEFENSE TO PROTECT AGAINST SPREAD OF GERMS, VIRUSES, ETC.,
use clorox in the dish washing water, Use no one's towell or wash cloth, don't handle their dirty tissues, fix a spray bottle with ten percent
bleach solution in it, that is one part bleach to ten parts water, with
a little dish soap, spray out the sinks often, CLOSE the commode
lid when you flush. Everyone cover their mouths when they sneeze
or cough. All get new tooth brushes when you are well.
Drink lots of water, and eat lots of vitamin c frruits vegetables,
eat a healthy diet, keep concentrated sweets in control, take a
multi vitamin. Get some exercise and fresh air.

eat lemons and drink orange juice like it's 1999
i'm convinced lemons are the key to everything

you should wash your hands after touching something they could have touched and if you touch them you should wash your hands......and you could wear a mask....that will help....

Sorry you probably all have it, as it can take 3 to 5 days before the symptoms show. The only way to avoid it completely is to make sure you aren't using anything that someone could have infected, which of course includes the air you breath. You can use several different methods to control the pain and discomfort after the symptoms show.

You probably would have it by now if you were going to get it. I would say leave the house for a few days :) and keep your hands clean! :)

good luck escaping it's rathe!

Wash your hands a lot. Don't touch your eyes, nose or mouth with your hands or anything else, including food, unless you know it is clean.

I am mega-sick right now myself and it is miserable.

Good luck!

I used to be a foster home with lots of children around all the time. I found the best way to avoid catching flu from others in the house is to have everyone have their own towel and facecloth, especially when colds are involved. It's amazing how little flues spread if you're not using the affected person's towel. Also lots of hand washing. My other succesful strategy for myself is to not take daily vitiamins, then when one of the children has their first flu symptoms, you take 2 multvitamin pills then one multivitamin a day for 5 days. This boosts the immune system to help ward off the cold. I found vitamins were not effective for this use if you take them all the time. As to stomach flu, I have read that 80% of them are actually mild food poisoning, so when I am handling raw meats preparing dinner, I put about a capful of bleach into half of a soapy water in the sink, and any time I am going to touch anything else during or right after handling the meat, I dip my hands in the bleach water first....like before I suddenly need one extra ingredient and want to open the fridge and have been handling the meat. I also put a capful of bleach into my dish water, when using the dishwasher, I put the dinner dishes in the sink of bleach water first and let them sit in it for about 20 minutes, then place them in the dishwater. To disinfect your dishes and utensils, a sink ful of water only needs one to 2 teaspoons of bleach, and you'll find that bleach seems to help the dishes rinse clearer. This is mandatory in my province for hand washed dishes to have bleach in the water. Commercial dishwashers heat water way hotter than our household dishwashers, so if you want to disinfect them, let them sit in the bleachy hot water solution before going in the dishwasher, this also softens any dried theings on the them so they come out cleaner in the dishwasher. Hope this helps you, it's no fun taking care of a big sick family when you'e sick yourself. Anne
